HOWTO: git branch & merge cheatsheet

Git has revolutionized version control. Really. At work I use git with phabricator: peer-review and version-control included. Highly recommended.

Yet my side projects are spread across several computers and several repo’s. And not so closely tracked. So for these I need to get beyond my usual repertoire of the git commands I use at work.
